The Rehabilitative Care Alliance is pleased to welcome Gabrielle Sadler and Marika Beaumont as new project managers.
Gabrielle comes to us from Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario where she has been a manager with the Continuing Care Program for the past nine years. She has led interdisciplinary teams on a variety of units, including the Integrated Stroke Unit, Rehabilitation, Functional Enhancement, Palliative Care, Geriatrics, and most recently the Rehabilitation Therapies Department. Gabrielle previously worked 10 years as a physiotherapist in a variety of settings. At Ross Memorial, Gabrielle has led a number of quality improvement and patient engagement initiatives, including the planning and launch of the Integrated Stroke Unit.
Gabrielle has a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario, an MSc in physiotherapy from the University of Toronto and a Masters Certificate in Healthcare Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University. She is currently working toward her LEAN Black Belt in Healthcare Delivery.
Marika joins us from Five Counties Children's Centre in Peterborough, Ontario where she has been a program manager for the past two years. Previously she was manager and professional practice leader for allied health, social work, and chaplaincy with the Rouge Valley Health System. Marika also spent 11 years with Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg as an occupational therapist in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and has practiced in the community, including with the West Parry Sound CCAC. She has implemented a number of programs and strategies such as the LHIN common referral process, in-hospital stroke best practices and geriatric community of practice projects.
Marika has a BSc in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph, a BSc in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto and a Master of Health Studies with a focus in teaching from the University of Athabasca. She has also completed the Dorothy Wylie Health Leaders Institute Leading in Complex Environments program.
Gabrielle and Marika join project managers Rebecca Ho and Sue Balogh in implementing current RCA initiatives. Gabrielle will be working remotely from Kirkfield in the northern part of the Central East LHIN. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
