Bringing the patient and care partner voice: calling all advisors
Date: May 1, 2023
The RCA is currently seeking additional patient and care partner advisors to contribute their insights, perspectives and experiences to our work and serve as members of RCA task groups.
While advisors must have experience as a patient or a care partner of someone who has received rehabilitative care, no further credentials are required. If you, or someone you know, may be interested in this opportunity, current advisor Brenda Martin has this to say:
“Contributing as an advisor is an empowering chance to voice concerns, ask questions and help inform the future of care,” she says. “It gives you an opportunity to share what matters to you and what’s important to you in our health care system, specifically in rehabilitative care.
“As a caregiver, it means a lot to know that my voice is being heard and my opinion matters. I would encourage anyone with lived experience in this area to consider a role as an advisor.”
