The RCA is pleased to share that its white paper, Community-Based Rehabilitation: Providing High-Value Rehabilitative Care in the Community, Part 4: Rehabilitation in Primary Care, has been selected as a World Rehabilitation Alliance Primary Health Care Case Study!

The RCA was invited to submit a two-page case study on rehab in primary care in Canada to the WHO’s World Rehabilitation Alliance Primary Care Working Group, the purpose of which is to support the implementation of the Rehabilitation 2030 Initiative.  This initiative draws attention to the significant unmet need for rehabilitative care globally and underscores the need to strengthen health systems to meet this demand.

After considering various examples of work to use as primary care case studies that illustrate the importance of rehabilitation, particularly the integration of rehabilitation and primary health, the WHO working group selected the RCA’s case study as one of four to be included in its work.

The RCA will share the resulting final publication when it is available.
