The RCA continues to support the adoption and spread of post-fall pathways across Ontario. Secondary implementation support is provided to help Ontario Health Teams integrate the pathways into practice and build on lessons learned from other adopters.

A key focus of current work is embedding the paramedic post-fall pathway directly into electronic medical records (EMRs) used by paramedic services. The RCA has already met with one paramedic EMR vendor to enable integration and is exploring integration with a second well-established paramedic EMR. Embedding the pathway into EMRs will make it easier for paramedics to follow consistent processes in real time, ensuring timely access to appropriate rehabilitative care.
