This September 16th, the RCA and partners across Ontario will mark the sixth annual Rehabilitation Day, recognizing the impact of rehabilitative care and the dedicated professionals who make it possible.  Join the celebration with our digital campaign materials, designed to make it easy to take part and help spread the word.

Rehabilitative care helps people recover from illness or injury, manage chronic conditions, reduce disability and live fuller, more independent lives. Delivered across hospitals, long-term care, primary care, community settings and people’s homes, rehabilitation supports better outcomes for patients and families and smoother transitions across the health care system.

Plans are already taking shape across the province and throughout the month of September, and organizations throughout Ontario are finding creative ways to recognize their teams and raise awareness of the value and impact of rehabilitative care.

Partners are highlighting patient and client stories, profiling rehab programs and teams, recognizing staff and colleagues, sharing research and innovations, and bringing Rehabilitation Day into their organizations and communities. Some are planning interactive displays, peer recognition activities and team spotlights, while others are using newsletters, intranets and social media to showcase the many professions and perspectives that contribute to a person’s rehabilitation journey.

There are many ways to take part, whether through a large event or a simple message of recognition. Throughout September, we invite partners to celebrate their teams, share the stories that demonstrate their impact, and help raise awareness of the difference rehabilitative care makes every day.
