The RCA has begun work to update its Guidance for Post-Shoulder Arthroplasty, originally published in 2019 to support rehabilitative care for patients recovering from shoulder arthroplasty. At the time, limited literature was available to inform rehabilitation practice, and the guidance was developed using available evidence, expert consensus, and surgeon input.

Since then, additional research has emerged related to rehabilitation following shoulder arthroplasty. The RCA is reviewing the current evidence to determine whether updates to the guidance are warranted and to inform the next phase of this work.

As the project progresses, the RCA will identify opportunities to engage subject matter experts and gather input to support the development of updated guidance.
