Rehabilitation Day 2025: Celebrating the Impact of Rehabilitative Care
Date: September 2, 2025
On September 17th, RCA partners across Ontario will be marking the fifth annual Rehabilitation Day. It’s a day to recognize the transformative impact of rehabilitative care, as well as the many dedicated professionals who make it possible.
To coincide with this year’s celebrations, the RCA has also launched its 2025 Rehab Provider Experience Survey. Now in its fourth year, the survey is helping shape the future of rehabilitative care across the province. All rehab professionals are encouraged to complete the survey by September 30th.
Rehabilitation Day is an opportunity to celebrate the vital role of rehab in helping people recover from illness or injury, manage chronic conditions, reduce disability, and live fuller, more independent lives. Whether delivered in hospitals, community clinics, primary care teams, or people’s homes, rehabilitative care improves patient outcomes and strengthens the health care system. It reduces emergency visits, prevents readmissions, and supports smoother transitions across care settings.
This year, celebrations extend beyond September 17th, with partners across the province marking Rehabilitation Day through events and activities throughout the month. Together, we are highlighting the contributions of rehab professionals and sharing the stories, research, and innovations that demonstrate the power of rehabilitation.
We invite you to join us in recognizing the expertise and commitment of Ontario’s rehab community, and in celebrating the difference they make every day. Spread the word using #RehabilitationDay.
